It’s really, really hard for allo people to picture a romantic relationship that isn’t also sexual. Like, no one’s doing anything wrong, but it’s just so wild to me that there are so many fics in which 99% of the events are canon romantic pining and acts of service etc, and then every single time they fall into bed together in the end. And it’s so so so delightful to be in a fandom where that only happens in, like, 95% of the fics, but because there’s so much chatter about them being ace I find myself surprised every time it’s treated as obvious that they’re going to kiss and sleep together etc.

Jun. 8th, 2019 11:38 pmI finally finished!!!! I’m totally in love with everything. I was the sort of high schooler who read Paradise Lost for fun, so that’s not surprising. I’m a total sucker for Bibical stories that are on the side of the humans, and I’d forgotten how much I love that tiny niche genre until just now. And god, it’s SO FUNNY. In such weird ways. I love it. My mom also seemed to like it, which was surprising but really fun! She didn’t even fall asleep while watching tonight.
also!!! Crowley and Aziraphale have the most romantic love story I’ve seen in a long long time (and tbh it made the nominally romantic relationships in the show seem even lamer than they already are in comparison - why oh why do fantastic female characters keep ending up with idiot men). I need to rewatch all their scenes - especially those historical flashbacks oh my god - and read some fic immediately. If anyone has any recs, my inbox is full of fic about them but I am always looking for more!
(also dear god it’s the year of their lord 2019 and we’re hyperventilating over a show with David Tennant, Mark Gatiss, Benedict Cumberbatch, and a demon named Crowley in it - I don’t have the superwholock+good omens Venn diagram on hand but. YIKES)
