Well.
I’m done with classes. Like, forever(/until I go to grad school but god knows when that will be and it won’t be the same). It seems really appropriate that my last class was American political thought - it’s the perfect blend of “you will never need to know this information ever after the final, no one in the real world cares” (which are always the best classes) and “oh god how are we going to save our country from these many messes”.
It’s so weird that I won’t be a student anymore. Like, that’s been such an overwhelmingly enormous part of my life for so long. I am a student, a good student, the girl in the back of the classroom with her nose in a book, the girl who answers the teacher’s questions when no one else does. It’s going to be...interesting, to say the least, to figure out who I am when I’m not sitting in a classroom having someone tell me stories.
Also the girls behind me in the dining hall are talking about how they can’t believe they’ve only known each other for a year. I wouldn’t be surprised if my friend group had that exact conversation at that exact table three years ago. We did a last day of school photo op and were reminiscing about how we’ve literally almost all known each other since the first day of freshman year. I’m so, so lucky to have them (but also what the fuck am I going to do without them).
